COVID-19 BOOSTER: we are continuing to invite patients for a COVID-19 booster (which provides longer-term protection against becoming seriously ill with COVID-19) Patients will be invited to the Altrincham Health & Wellbeing Centre for a COVID-19 booster if it’s been at least six months since their second COVID-19 vaccination and in line with official NHS England guidance which prioritises the most vulnerable. The next COVID-19 booster clinic is on 23rd October – please only attend if you have an appointment. For more information please click here
FLU VACCINATION: patients will be invited to attend their annual flu vaccination appointment at Park Medical Practice. These invitations will be sent out as our flu vaccine supplies arrive.
Please wait to be invited for your appointment rather than contact the GP practice: we will be in touch shortly.
COVID-19 VACCINATIONS IN SCHOOL FOR AGES 12-15: if your child has missed their COVID-19 vaccination in school, please contact the school nurse, not the GP practice. The COVID-19 school vaccination programme is being delivered by school immunisation teams not the GP practice. Click here for further information
To demonstrate proof of their COVID-19 vaccination, patients can access the NHS Covid Pass using the NHS App, NHS website or by calling the NHS helpline on 119 and selecting ‘NHS COVID Pass’ to request a letter. NHS appointment cards cannot be used to demonstrate vaccination status. Please do not contact your GP surgery about your COVID-19 vaccination status. GPs cannot provide letters showing your COVID-19 vaccination status For full details click here
Throughout the pandemic we have strived to make St Johns Medical Centre as safe as possible and this will continue: protecting patients and staff is our priority. Patients will need to still wear a mask, socially distance and use hand sanitiser, and our staff will continue to wear PPE. We are committed to minimising the impact of Covid and hope you understand that our practice must be as safe as possible for everyone.
