Urgent and routine appointments
To request an urgent on the day appointment (Monday to Friday)
- use our appointment request form, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm. We will respond within within 2 working days during opening times
All requests for appointments submitted between the triage opening times Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm will be reviewed by our triaging team. Patients will be offered an appointment within the right time frame, the right Clinician and via the right method (face to face, telephone, online).
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you. If we assess your request as requiring an on the day appointment, we will contact you by telephone to book this appointment. Please note if you submit a urgent request, please be available to attend the practice if needed.
Our practice phone lines will remain open for anyone with accessibility needs who might find it difficult to complete these links and a member of our patient support team will help complete it with you.

Appointments by phone or by text can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.
To cancel your appointment:
- use your NHS account (on the NHS website or in the NHS app)
- reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
- contact us online

Extended Access - Once a month on a Saturday afternoon 1-5pm. Dates vary
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
Please tell us:
- If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond.
- If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email.
- If you need an interpreter.
- If you have any other access or communication needs.
If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need. To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice before 10am on 0161 973 3485.
