The Surgery provides the following services for all registered patients:
Blood tests
From 01 November 2018 all blood tests will be by appointment only. Patients can make an appointment for the Phlebotomy Clinic by telephoning the booking hotline on 0161 934 8361.
The booking team will offer patients a choice of appointment at one of the Trafford blood testing clinics.
Life Style Advice
Our practice nurses offer advice on lifestyle choices such as smoking, diet and exercise and alcohol. They also run clinics for chronic disease management including asthma, COPD, diabetes and heart disease
Minor Surgery
Dr Guest runs a minor surgery clinic every Wednesday afternoon. Your doctor or nurse will advise you if the treatment you require is suitable for this clinic or whether you will need to be referred for a hospital appointment.
Antenatal Care
The community midwives hold a clinic at the surgery every Monday morning between 09:00 and 11:00. Please contact the surgery to book an appointment. If you need to speak to a midwife at any other time please phone 0161 291 2942
Baby checks and immunisations
Dr Wilson carries out routine six week checks at the surgery. You will be sent an appointment to attend for this. Further childhood developmental checks are carried out by our health visitors who can be contacted on 0161 912 3355 Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 16:30. Routine childhood immunisations are carried out by our practice nurses. You will also receive an appointment for these.
Family Planning
Our practice nurses offer advice on routine and emergency family planning. You can also see any of the doctors for this service.
Cervical Smears
A recall system operates to offer cervical screening to all female patients between the ages of 25 and 64. You will be sent a letter to remind you when your test is due. Please book an appointment with one of our practice nurses for this. If you prefer, you can also attend one of the local family planning clinics. Please ask at reception for contact details.
District Nurses
Our district nurses team holds clinics at Timperley Health Centre for post operative care such as dressing and suture removal. To book an appointment please phone 0300 323 0303
