Life Style Advice
Our practice nurses offer advice on lifestyle choices such as smoking, diet and exercise and alcohol.
They also runs clinics for chronic disease management including asthma, copd, diabetes and heart disease.
Dr Guest runs a minor surgery clinic every Wednesday afternoon. Your doctor or nurse will advise you if the treament you require is suitable for this clinic or whether you will need to be referred for a hospital appointment.
The community midwives hold a clinic at the surgery every Monday morning between 9.00 am and 11.00 am. Please contact the surgery to book an appointment. If you need to speak to a midwife at any other time please phone 291 2942
Baby checks and immunisations
Dr Wilson carries out routine six week checks at the surgery. You will be sent an appointment to attend for this.
Further childhood developmental checks are carried out by our health visitors who can be contacted on 0161 912 3355 Monday to Friday between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm.
Routine childhood immunisatios are carried out by our practice nurses. You will also receive an appointment for these.
Our practice nurses offer advise on routine and emergency family planning. You can also see any of the doctors for this service.
A recall system operates to offer cervical screening to all female patiets between the ages of 25 and 64. You will be sent a letter to remind you when your test is due. Please book an appointment with one of our practice nurses for this. If you would prefer you can also attend one of the local family planning clinics. Please ask at reception for contact details.
Our district nurses team, led by Sister Alison Janes, holds clinics at Timperley Health Centre for post operative care such as dressing and suture removal.
